Older Crowd Bars

Any suggestions on where you could go if your in your 40s when you don't feel like sitting at home bored out of your mind on a Friday night? I'm sure there are people out there with similar interests who wouldn't mind meeting new people and letting loose from time to time. Mid 40s can feel so boring sometimes.
