Why does everyone take finasteride even after getting a HT?

I know many people here are militant about their hair; so am I. Let me be clear about that, I want to 100% keep my hair. Every single male in my family was bald by their late thirties.

However, I am not taking finasteride due to the health complications it could cause. A million times: YES, I know they are rare, I know, I know, I know. But I already have issues with my sexual performance as it is, so the anxiety combined with the fear of maybe having my sexual health impacted is an extremely strong deterrent against fin.

So, hair transplants! That’s my best option; im fine about that. But my question is:

Why is everyone taking fin after a HT? Just get a bloody good HT and leave it at that? I don’t care if I bald well into my 50s and 60s, but id like to at least get through middle age with some hair!

Thoughts guys? Why bother with fin when HT will be great.
