Pulse generators, how are you using them?

First time poster here from Beeld & Geluid the Dutch national media archive. I’ve been working on making an all Dutch music studio at the archive for musicians to come freely use.

We have a small test equipment corner (all Philips of course) (note we are good friends with Willem Twee so we always tell people if they want to go deeper into test equipment to go there!).

Anyway, finally got some pulse generators that I was hoping I could use to manipulate the function generators and they work but not as wildly as I maybe expected.

Any tips for how people use their pulse generators? Can you also run them straight to the desk if the frequency is within audible range?

And if anyone lives in NL and wants to come by drop me a message !
