DirectX, Vulkan and 32-bit. What exactly is Hades asking me?

Hi so I’ve been playing for a while now but today when launching the game from Steam a message popped up that I’ve never seen before. It gives me three options:

1) Play Hades (DirectX) 2) Play Hades (Vulkan) 3) Play Hades (32-bit)

So out of curiosity and slight worry, what am I actually choosing between here? What are these choices and what do they represent?
