Someone help me

So im doing the quest when atreus comes to asgard and i came across a legendary chest that has vines on it i know how to unlock it but i still didnt opened it so my question should i load the auto save because its need for the plat or not and if i load it and get the loot then load back will i still have its loot or because i loaded it again i lost it?
