Vivoactive 4S suddenly won't charge

I've had the watch for just over 2 years, never had any issues with it until this past week when it stopped charging. When I plug it in there is no "buzz" acknowledgment of being connected to a charging cable, and the battery just drains. I've tried a factory reset twice to no avail.

I contacted Garmin support and was told that since they no longer service the device the best they could offer was 20% off a new Vivoactive/Venu. I've really enjoyed my Garmin watch, but after this have been soured on them.

Has anything worked for anyone else to fix the issue?
