Is anyone else's school doing no study leave whatsoever?

My school is saying they were have to be in school all day, every day and even attend the morning sessions before school and all the after school sessions. If we don't go out counts towards our attendance and we won't be allowed to go to prom:/ Is anyone else's school like this?
