ranked system needs revamp

I’ve always thought about this since ranked came out in battle royale, but in this gamemode it’s much more clear. It’s WAY too easy to hit unreal. Fortnite’s ranked system has always been about how much you play, and not what level you play at.

Here’s my idea:

At elite, the percentage system stops. There’s no reason to show what people gain and lose without telling them how they gained it or why they lost it. Instead, replace this with a rating system, which would also help with leaderboards. Not knowing the gap between you and the person ranked higher than you makes the game really boring especially as you get closer to 1. Also adding a “Grand Champion” rank after champion, where leaderboards would unlock. Unreal would just be limited to the top 1000 or 500. This would help filter out ((bad)) players in unreal and make unreal matches actually competitive, unlike how they are now.
