How can I “fix” this?

Hi! I’ve just moved into a flat recently which has had laminate flooring put in. However in the kitchen the edges are worn off and broken in places. I’m just renting so I’m not looking for a permanent proper fix for this as I’m not looking to spend lots of money on a place that’s not mine. However as it’s exposed it will absorb absolutely anything esp as it’s in the kitchen things can often spill and will cause it to soak up and smell over time 😭 it’s also just not nice to look at… is there any way to fix/cover this up in a cheaper diy sense purely more fore functionality so the laminate isn’t just exposed??? Thank you!!
