X-Pro Hawk DLX 250 EFI (bought on Amazon about a year ago)
This isn't my bike, it's my neighbor's bike but English isn't his first language so I'm here looking for some advice on his behalf.
The issue he explained to me is as follows:
When going 50 MPH the bike will die, not just the engine but electrical too. All the lights turn off and the speedometer too. The bike will turn right back on if you twist key off and on, and push the starter switch.
We don't think it's the battery as that was replaced recently. Also, the bike doesn't have a problem turning back on either. It seems the battery is good and it is being charged, otherwise it wouldn't turn back on after dying.
It is fuel injected so there's no carb to mess with. It seems to be getting fuel just fine. We thought, maybe the fuel filter? But that wouldn't cause the whole electrical to turn off when the bike dies too, right?
New spark plugs for good measure since he hasn't changed those before.
Some other weird things: Horn stopped working recently Left side turn lights have water in them
