Transition
I originally started reading the Wheel of Time in 2004. I was a kid (18) I was between jobs and I happened to get a flyer in the mail and the cover art for Crossroads of Twilight grabbed my attention. Years came and went, adult priorities happened along with a couple of kids and much to my shame I must admit I read through it once, and just didn't get back to it.
November 2023 I got my current job which is security at a medical supply manufacturer. I pretty much just walk around looking for leaks, safety issues and other environmental issues. It's not demanding, and I walk around with headphones in all night listening to audiobooks. I began the Wheel of Time again in April and I'm about to begin the final book. It was an emotional journey since the audiobooks have an interview with Robert Jordan before he died and Brandon Sanderson after he picked up where Robert left off and finished the series. My point after all of that is... I almost feel like I'm mourning getting to the end of this series. How do you guys move on after reading a series you're really invested in? How do you cope with the story being over?
