Is getting really discouraged because my fic isn’t getting much attention bad?

My fic compared to others for the fandom with the same amount of chapters is getting far less attention and it’s really discouraging me. While the one I’m writing does have a new main character unlike the other which are using the original main character, so I can understand a bit of difference but for the discord discussion page I made for mine on the fandoms discord I have 1 comments which isn’t mine. But the others have hundreds(both are first time writers as well from what I know). I was originally excited to write chapter but now I just feel bad because it feels like a huge waste of time. Am I being unreasonable?
