is lowering springs a bad idea w high miles?

i wanna lower my 2017 330 w 123k miles. it’s still on stock suspension. i’ve had it since 34k miles and honestly the car still drives and feels the same. obviously coils are a better choice but springs are much more cheaper. i see mixed reviews about springs especially with high mileage cars. i don’t wanna cause any issues that can turn into a headache and am aware springs will ride stiffer. is this a bad idea or should i be good? i dont track the car or anything crazy just wanna have better fitment. thanks
