Picking up lunch for execs

I don’t quite understand the expectation of picking up lunch or beverages for execs. I know many EAs do it, and I’ve been asked to do so multiple times at this new company. I get it when they have back to back meetings and no time to step out for lunch, especially since my executives don’t bring their lunch or order takeout/delivery themselves. However, there have been many times when I barely have time for lunch myself?!

What feels particularly unfair is that when I use the company card to pick up their lunch, I’m not provided with a company paid meal, even though I’m the one picking up and delivering their lunch. And I often skip my own break to do so. It just doesn’t feel ethical or equitable to me.
