Board increase

Hello I want to get people’s opinion on my current situation. I live in the Midwest. I started boarding my horse February 2024 for $185 pasture board. The farm has fields and a small round pen and it’s self care. I was so happy! Slowly it increased to $220 because they added a porta potty. Then it increased to $250 because they put up another round pen. The footing isn’t great as it doesn’t drain water at all. $250 was still fine for me. Now, it is up to $285. Still the same amenities, but they are in the process of an outdoor which wouldn’t be fenced in. My horse is now requiring grain and it’s $5 a day so my board increases to $435 a month for just pasture board and self provided grain. They are talking about building an indoor and increasing the board amount to $400 for pasture board next January. That would be $550 for pasture board with grain. Is this normal? It is still self care. Any insight is welcome! I love the barn owner but it seems like so many increases. I found a barn down the road for $375 paddock board barn provided grain 2x a day with indoor and outdoor.
