What part of EPIC exceeded your expectations?

Basically, was there ever something you thought you wouldn't like that much or care about but you ended up liking it much more than you thought you would?

For me, surprisingly was Penelope's voice. I listened to a brief snippet of the Challenge months ago and I don't know why, I somehow didn't like the voice and thought it didn't suit Penelope. But then Thunder Saga came out and with it, Suffering, and I ended up really loving it. And with the Challenge now fully out, that song also ended up being one of my favorite songs of the Saga. I have no idea why my first impression was so negative because at the end, all of the three songs in which Penelope('s voice actor since the siren doesn't count) sang ended up pretty high on my ranking list.

Another song was 'Open arms', I didn't really care much for it in the first edition but after the re-release of the song, I kind of like it much more. Still not my favorite, but I at least don't skip it as much anymore when it comes up in my playlist.
