Wisdom's Pacing is TERRIBLE (but the songs are great)
This feels like it almost had to happen this way considering how much ground this saga had to cover, and it's incredible these songs turned out so good despite the load to lift. I feel like a lot of them weren't given a lot of the time they needed to be more effective in the story though, especially the last two.
Love in Paradise needed more Calypso (she's incredible, hands down my favorite addition to the cast), and speeding through a 7-year prison sentence (effectively) for Ody felt super rushed. Adding Athena's time journey at the top of that made for a song with a lot of great stuff in it that could've been three songs tbh.
I felt the same for God Games. No one had a chance to breathe or to let any interactions play out. Some of these gods got like two lines after making some really interesting points, and I feel it should've been longer.
I feel like Jay got to flex some insane musical muscles in this one but revealed the cracks in his writing abilities as a result. Again, I really liked the saga, but I felt it was over WAY too quickly. Am I alone in this? Thoughts?
