Am I wasting my time?

For context: I started ASU Online this year thanks to Starbucks’ SCAP with the intention of completing a degree in mechanical engineering.

After seeing many reddit posts from people having difficulty with landing a job and a lack of practical experience in this particular field, I’m starting to think this pathway isn’t worth it with an online degree.

Should I quit now and start looking into other degrees while I’m so early on in my classes? Suggestions?
