Elden Lord and Consort

So I realized that I don’t understand who is lord and who is consort and what these titles mean exactly.

My understanding so far: Marika is Elden Lord and Godfrey her consort. But Godfrey has the title of Elden lord right ? So Marika is god and the title of Elden Lord goes to the consort ? Meaning if we become Elden Lord in the vanilla ending then we are the new consort and Elden Lord but Marika is still god ? Or am I confusing something ?

When we choose the Ranni ending then Ranni becomes the new god (same position as Marika) and we are the new consort and Elden Lord ? Or is Ranni (and in that sense Marika) the Elden Lord and we are just consort and that’s it ?

And with the DLC: Miquella becomes a god and Radahn his consort right ? Is Miquella the Elden Lord or is it Radahn?

And does that mean that our quest to become Elden Lord just means that we want to become the new consort to God Queen Marika or Lady Ranni?

And in the endings with either Fia, Dungeater or Goldmask, are we the consort or the god ? And is the our position a different one with the Frenzied Flame ending ?

I realize I know less than I thought so any help of understanding is appreciated.
