Analysing The Fall and Post 2009 efforts
Hey,
Disclaimer: This post in no way is any sort of final conclusion, but should be considered as finding the root cause through textual / statistical analysis
My background: I came across Eelam and the armed struggle on YouTube, from seeman's speeches. I usually don't blindly accept the speeches given to masses.
The fall I learned about eelam and Prabhakaran from News7 documentary. Later go into reading eelam related books and trying to understand nation, states, statless people and politics in general.
Once I learned something significant, I understood the loopholes the NTK uses to bring in supporters and how the it's speeches are flawed and are used just to attract masses.
I can say that eelam struggle was significantly a stright curve with some variants untill 2006. Then, I felt it underwent fast paced significant changes in people working in LTTE and the geo-politices as well.
Even though, we can attribute the fall as geo-politices. The roots for the fall can be classified as 'Intelligence work'.
The internal intelligence leak such as bombing of Tamil Selvan, Bombing an LTTE radio station where prabhakran was estimated to be part of it during maaverer naal.
From these two events, one can say the LTTE did face a significant intelligence leak. The question now that should arise is how ?
How did the intelligence leak happened / took place ?
How did such accurate intelligence leak was possible, given that LTTE had counter intelligence setup and also it wasn't easy to pull information off the LTTE structure.
- Therefore, we can conclude atleast tentatively that LTTE facing such information leak was a contributing factor for its fall over the years.
Post 2009
May 17, 2009
An letterhead from LTTE international affairs is released sayiny the LTTE would withdraw itself from armed conflict and would seek justice via peaceful means.
If the LTTE wanted the seek justice via peaceful means, why did they take the decision on May 17 and not on earlier occasion ??
I do understand that LTTE was ready for justice peacefully but the Sri Lankan state didn't want the tamils to get justice and just played the haox in the meetings.
What I wanted to ask is, why the letter head on dropping the armed struggle was on May 17th not before that particular date ?
Post May 2009
Why didn't any armed struggle didn't take place after May 2009 ?
[ Asking this question for understanding purpose only]
Is it because people were tired of wars, I understand that final eelam war took heavy toll on people's health, mindset, peaceful and private properties as well
But, wars in past did took toll on people's well being to certain extent right ??
Those who poralis who survived the war, didn't take any effort to regain their lost territory?
They left it as if it's a lost cause ?
