Questions about earthquakes as a NorCal resident

Hi!! Currently a resident of the NorCal Bay Area. This morning, there was a 7.0 quake 200+ miles from me but we still had a tsunami warning that scared the living daylights out of me, esp since I have a baby. I have a few Q’s that Google wasn’t really telling me if anyone knows.

1. Would a major aftershock 200+ miles away from epicenter in the days following be possible?

2. What are some lesser known earthquake proofing/ safety strategies?

3. What are some lesser known hazards in the home related to quakes?
