Plaid interiors or all leather?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of reupholstering the interior of my sedan with some mostly black/red plaid kind of like a GTI interior, including the door cards and middle/bottom of the seats, or maybe just do black leather all around. Anyone have any regrets or grievances with the plaid or all leather? The door cards and seats are leather right now and are pretty far gone so I'll be reupholstering them anyway, just want to hear what people think
