I Can't Decide: Emmrich & Manfred Decision
This is probably one of the hardest choices to choose so far. I'm stuck at this point bc I think of the possible future events of the next Dragon Age game. I have a good feeling they might make a DA4. I'm hoping in the next DA game, we get to see our choice outcomes we made as side quests.
I'm not finished with the game yet, please no ending spoilers. I know everything up to this point though. I'm not 100% sure about how the spirit realm works in the game, so don't judge too harshly. I've been playing this game on & off for about a month & have forgotten some of the lore behid it. But on my second playthrough, I'll go faster & read all the lore books.
So, my problem is that I want to pick the best outcome for Emmrich. I hope this is just one of those choices that makes you think you choose a decision but ultimately didn't matter bc they will either: bring back Manfred or Emmrich will find a way to become immortal, another way.
Let me elaborate.
Your choice is to: save Manfred OR sacrifice Manfred so that Emmrich can become a Lich, his life long dream & passion.
I can see this playing out two different ways if there is a DA4 in the future.
1.) If you chose to sacrifice Manfred & let him become a Legendary Hero, bc of this decision, future DA4 could let Emmrich become a Lich & dedicate his eternity as a powerful Necromancer Lich to find a way to bring Manfred back from the great beyond. (Whether this is through one of the Elven artifacts, using the power of the titans, pleading or bargaining with the Gods or some other way.) It could be possible.
2.) If you chose to save beloved friend Manfred & let Emmrich live out his days as a mortal, sacrificing his only chance of Lichdom, in future DA4, there could be another way for him to achieve immortality before he dies. Although, it might not be through Lichdom, it could be as a wisp or sprit/ghost. If he becomes a wisp, he could have a skeletal body like Manfred or if he is a spirit/ghost, he could live in The Crossroads (like the others in the marketplace).
What did you choose? Still one of the hardest decisions I've come across so far.
