Waitlist

I was put on a wait list for F&B QSR Culinary Person in the end of October. I have only received one email asking if i am still interested and that was at the beginning of December. I know that some other people that were put on the waitlist mid december and were given an offer already this month. So my question is can anyone tell me how the waitlist works?
