What is up with gg focused events

Watching the scores up until the last focussed event, hunters were up by A LOT, I was sitting there waiting. Then after time expires, no package, zone back in and stats are reset, warlocks up on the totems - what's happening?? Happened twice now where the scores seem to just be completely random after the reset happens. I have legit won 2 focussed events as indicated on the map by hovering over the focussed score, and each time been baffled by not getting a winners package and the scores just being reset and totems randomly not matching the scores showed during the focussed event.
