Did Depop just screw me out of money

I just sold an item for $200 but listed free shipping. I got an email that I paid $42.99 to Depop via Paypal, and that I will be receiving $169 from Depop for the sale. Why did I just pay $42.99?? I knew the fee would be hefty but oh my god
