Hello,
I am a GP one year out of school and I do extractions every other week. However, I’m concerned that this particular extraction may be challenging due to the radiopacity around the roots, especially since the patient is a heavy grinder with a history of bruxism.
Tooth #19 recently had a DO composite placed a week ago, during which a crack was visible at the base of the cavity. Now the tooth is sensitive to cold and touch, has a crack, and requires RCT, but the patient has opted for extraction instead.
Do you think this extraction will be difficult given these factors?
