The Doom and gloom is actually really funny if you have any real life interactions with other gamers
I met up with someone from OfferUp to sell them some stuff the other day and while having small talk gaming came up and he mentioned being absolutely obsessed with DOTA lately and I told him that I've been completely absorbed by deadlock myself
He was like what's deadlock and I was like it's that game valve's working on right now that is in closed alpha and he was like oh I haven't heard of it and long story short I sent him an invite and he has been absolutely loving it
Only sharing this because there are people who worry the game is going to get axed or the player basees, dwindling etc. If you talk to people outside the bubble of Reddit, this game is basically completely unknown simply because valve has yet to flip the switch to flood steam with advertisements and get people playing
I don't usually Fanboy over publishers or developers but valve is a top tier machine with getting their game into players hands. Obviously you can point it. Artifact and make an exception, but there's a lot to be said about the involvement of Richard Garfield in that
Underlord's was to me a fun little mini project for them to work on it probably realistically. Only took 20 tops developers and even then that sounds like too many for what it was was s. They hardly put any eggs in that basket
If people who are in valves, sphere of influence are completely unaware that this game exists imagine the healthy influx and hopefully steady retention by the time this is available for the public
Now bleed
