Surgery: My experience and recovery so far
I was diagnosed with De Quervain’s tendinitis five months ago. I did physiotherapy for a month with no improvement. After that, I received a cortisone shot, which was supposed to be the final solution since my De Quervain’s was mild. I then did another month of physiotherapy and wore a splint on my hand, but still saw no improvement.
Yesterday, I had surgery. I don’t remember anything from it as they sedated me, and I slept through the entire procedure. So far, my recovery has been painless, and I can already open and close my hand. My doctor recommended doing this for five minutes every hour.
I wanted to share my experience with you all, as I’ve read many of yours here.
