Hate this, need book recs with less spice so my brother in law doesn't hate me.

Okay so, For context my sister and I gift eachother books for holidays and birthdays. This year new rules have been made due to changes in her life. So I need some help. I am looking for something that reminds me of the Mind fuck series, but if it's a physical copy of books and someone flips through they wont freak out or think I'm crazy. My sister loved this series as well as Haunting adeline and slash or pass. However her partner isn't super okay with lots of spicy content. If he flipped through the book it wouldn't be🌶 in ever other chapter. Maybe like once in every 15 chapters. This is new to me, as I read alot of 🌶🌶🌶, so does she. But we gift eachother physical books and I don't want to upset her partner. He is okay with some spice but not alot due to personal reasons involving their faith. I can respect that but this is the first year I have new rules to follow for her book gifts. I'm at a loss as I had a whole series to gift her this year but it is too much on the spice level now. Any recommendations on psychological, thriller, horror romance I am in desperate need of help
