help me understand, tax implications

Let's say I buy 25k of ADA. Let's say I see a 10k profit over a course of a couple weeks and decide to sell 10k of ADA. I then wait for the price to go down and buy 10k of ADA a couple days later. Do I have to pay taxes on those 10k gains or not since I invested in back into ADA?
