Still learning from my dad, who is apparently a hodling expert

Back in mid 2017 my dad convinced me to get into crypto, he had bought a small portfolio a few months earlier and mentioned it because crypto was gaining traction in the news. I was in my mid 20s learning about cryptocurrencies from my more forward thinking, 67 yo dad. I did a little research, bought a few coins and spent much of 2018 pulling my hair out and doing everything I wasn't supposed to: checking the charts every 15 minutes, stressing hard, trading for new shitcoins, buying high and selling low. Despite all that, the last few months make anyone look like a trailblazing investor, so a few day's ago I asked him how his crypto was doing (you know, I wanted to brag). He just looked at me a little confused...huh? After all those years, he had hodled so hard he completely forgot. So we dig up his details, log onto the exchange, and damn, of course, his completely untouched portfolio had outperformed mine multiple times. So what'd he do? He bought some more and logged off the exchange...we'll check back in another couple years.

I am going to try to get him to move his coins off the exchange, but beyond that I think he's got it covered.

Edit: He’s gonna get a kick out of these comments. Thanks!
