HELP - Wrench Light and Shutoff
‘06 P71 - approx 170,000 miles. This seems to occur primarily in cold weather, even with the engine warmed up. During normal driving, the wrench light on the dash will illuminate, and the engine will shut off. No knocking, no misfire, no surging. Not lug down or limp/slow, shut off. Zero RPM. I pull over, I put it in park, I turn the ignition off, I turn the ignition on, turn the engine over, I drive home. No issues. No codes. No CEL. No hard shifts, no noticeable decreased power, no misfires. This has happened maybe twice in the past month or so, and happened once two winters ago. From what I’ve read online it sounds like a throttle system issue? MAF has been cleaned and TB has recently been seafoamed. Recently did plugs, doing ignition coils this weekend. Any suggestions are welcome.
EDIT: new throttle body installed and calibrated. Will update.
