[CHAT] 25 count versus 28?

There's a pattern I want from the UK that only sells kits that lists these options (other than aida): 25 count over 2, 28 count over 1

I hate stitching over 1, but it appears the fabric size for 28 count will be appropriate for over 1. I've never worked with 25 count, my preference is 32, do you think 25 will be too big for me?

I might switch out the fabric anyway, so perhaps use the 28 count for something smaller. Thoughts on if I might not like 25? I always use 3 strands on 28 count over 2, so i definitely would for 25 count, but I'm afraid the included thread won't allow for that. It is DMC thread so perhaps I could supplement.

Wish I could just buy the pattern because it's super expensive and I'm contemplating switching out materials.
