Why does my gecko always potty on me now

I’ve had my crestie for 2mo. The last few times I’ve held her she’s gone to the bathroom on me which is something she almost never did at first. I don’t think it’s a defense mechanism bc it’s usually after I’ve been holding for her a while plus I handle her right next to her cage so she can just jump back in there if she wanted to. I’ve seen people respond to other people posting about geckos always pooping/peeing on them with a variety of reasons like they’re scared, they’re comfortable, or they just get triggered to go to the bathroom by the warmth of a human? I just want to know if I’m stressing her out and how to respond to her pooping/peeing on me in a way that will not stress her out but also not Pavlov her to potty on me if she wants to go back in her cage (I doubt cresties are really smart enough for that but that was one take I saw). I haven’t handled her as frequently the past few days (like every other day instead of twice a day). Could this be why? Thank you guys for taking the time to read and any advice!
