CC charging EMI instalment after charging me full amount in prev month bill cycle

My billing cycle is 13th -12th from one month to the next.

I made a purchase on Oct 10 from Croma and decided to take it on EMI basis. However, in my statement for October, due on 31st, the full amount was charged.

Putting it down to an error, I made the payment anyway.

Now, I just happened to check my statement for the current month, and the EMI conversion has happened, and I’m being charged interest, gst and instalment amount for the EMIs.

What can I do to address this?
