Are cheaters in this game?

Was scaving it to exfil with a awesome hoad. At docks in construction area, suddenly I'm dead with no death I'd, just eliminated. Impossible to see me from any angle. Normally I'd brush off dying but when on the elimination screen it's all blank it makes me wonder, especially with the treasure I was carrying. Was on Japan servers for reference
