How do I trust His plan?
Every time I think im at my lowest, I go lower. That being said, im at my lowest.
Im 24(m), going to be 25 next month. The past 2.5 years of my life have been quite the movie (genuinely want to sell the movie rights lol). Wont delve into specifics, but I will share my situation.
I live in SoCal. Very expensive place to live. I got laid off from my Tech job last year. The whole industry is in a hiring freeze til the Interest Rates get cut. For the time-being, i am working at Starbucks with my older sister while I finish my Computer Science degree. Because of the small income, and paying for school, I live at home with my parents. It feels humiliating.
Prior to last years layoffs, my bosses expressed that they really do want me back eventually, but their hands are tied until the economy is normalized. Also, I should be graduating school in April 2025.
Here is my current issue, and why I have a hard time trusting His timing and plan: I have a strong strong desire for marriage. I also have very aspirational career goals. But, I am just at Starbucks, and I am just living at home.
Theres a “light at the end of the tunnel” in terms of getting my degree, and assuming I ever end up going back to my old tech job, that degree will open up many high-paying job opportunities, and those job opportunities could lead to me being able to provide for a wife and kids some day (not saying thats the only thing preventing me from a relationship. Im just speaking in generalities).
But it is AGONY waiting. I try dating, and nothing ever works out. I try applying for other tech jobs, but nobody is actually hiring. I just feel like my life is at a complete Standstill until i graduate next year.
My life consists of going to bed at 8pm, waking up at 3:30am, working a job I hate for 8 hours, working out super hard, then doing school for a couple hours, then going to bed at 8pm… I am tired.
Please, please pray for me that I have patience and trust. And if you are able, I will take any advice or motivation.
