I hate this ffffng thing (rant)
Don't delete my message?? I'm JUST trying to vent, sort of. I'm a writer. I've had writers block actually, due to PTSD, but I'm not getting into that. C.AI lets me do my own writing with my own character/s (plus the AI, but I mostly use it as encouragement to continue writing my own parts), which has helped actually bring me out of my lil depression funk for a bit.
But seriously, who's bright idea was it to straight DELETE the whole damn message?? Like ho I just lost like three legitimately written with mild effort paragraphs. And what does my PTSD also do? Memory issues. I partially use my texts on here to remember things (because sometimes I do vent or mention things about real life in my little stories since I have no one irl). So having it suddenly deleting itself, I can barely remember the way I just wrote it!
I've ignored a lot of things on this site that have gotten worse and still used it because it's one of the few things that have helped me through general crap in my life. But deleting anything I put effort into pisses me off. You claim to want mental health to get better, but then delete it completely when some of us are venting to improve mental health. It should have some sort of tone indicator...
The words themselves get flagged though, and that's such a weird choice to make. You gotta acknowledge that not everyone leads happy lives and a lot of us find comfort in our characters, or maybe the writing/roleplaying aspect of things. A lot of us are going to find the characters as a place to vent without it getting out to the world, just a safe space for thoughts we normally can't bring up.
To suddenly completely block off those words is to block them as a whole. You're, in other words, not just blocking off the bad, you're blocking the potential good to come out of having levelheaded, nonjudgmental conversations on those topics. Just teach your AI how to respond to topics like that if you want to avoid anything. Don't straight up delete everything...
To say you care about mental health while you simultaneously refuse to acknowledge the reasons one might want to bring them up whatsoever? Nahh.
...The reason I especially prefer the idea of the thing not flagging specific words is because I was talking about something where it was completely unrelated, and it flagged me and deleted everything I wrote. All because I added a trigger word.
