Kitten dislikes being held (but everyone keeps doing it anyway)

A bit over a month ago we've adopted a 3 month old female european shorthair - Tola. I think she got used to us pretty quickly. She let us pet her on the 2nd day, follows everyone around and sleeps in my bed all day, but she just doesnt like being held.

As soon as anyone pick her up she starts meowing VERY loudly, to the point where i can hear her through 2 sets of closed doors and headphones, as well as immediately trying to wriggle out and running away. Everyone in my family finds this funny and says we need to teach her to like that. I try to not pick her up unless I absolutely have to, but my sister carries her around and hugs her CONSTANTLY and I cant fucking stand listening to Tola scream throughout the entire house much longer

I tried looking up what to do about that and I got mixed answers, with some saying that she just simply does not like it and to accept that, but I also found some websites saying that since shes still a kitten if we just keep holding her she'll eventually get used to it and that we need to teach her to socialise.

So what am I supposed to do?
