International DHL shipment handoff to CP during strike?
Hello there,
I have a parcel coming from Germany to Canada. I specifically chose DHL to avoid issues with the Canada Post strike. I searched online and the DHL sources I found said their service would not be affected by the strike.
I've been following the tracking for my DHL parcel and it turns out it is also a Canada Post tracking number. My most recent DHL.de tracking says the parcel is leaving Germany and will be handed off the the destination countries mailing service.
The tracking on Canada Post says 'waiting for item'.
I contacted DHL Germany and they said I have to contact DHL international who aren't available right now. I sent an email.
Just curious if anyone knows how this might go.
I would be super annoyed if they give it to CP because I already have the same item that I ordered from the US via UPS that got handed to the USPS and subsequently Canada Post and is now hostage.
So I order the same item from Germany via DHL to avoid the whole mess and might be right back in it.
