BSIS couldn’t process application due to DOJ missing disposition on live scan from an arrest.
I completed my BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit application in 2022 and had my permit for work from 2022-2024. I let it expire accidentally and had to start the process over.
In June, 2023, I got arrested by a security guard on a sidewalk for trespassing which a police officer accepted. The District Attorneys Office rejected the charge and it wasn’t prosecuted.
I submitted my new application for a BSIS exposed firearm permit in 2024 and BSIS couldn’t process it because DOJ located a “record” on my record which had no disposition. DA office said do a new livescan under “request my criminal history” which I did and have a new live scan record just so DOJ can request the disposition from them.
Has anyone had this issue? What did you do?
