Workplace Snow Day Policies

I live and work in the Southtowns, so we get hit with a lot of snow, like yesterday. My work's policy for snow days is you must use your own vacation or sick time. Even if there is a driving ban in the town you live in or the town where my work is, so you legally can't drive, you must use vacation time. You will get written up if you don't save enough time off to use for emergencies like snow days. Even though I also have mostly a desk job, we are not allowed to work from home. Also, if it matters for the discussion, I am a salaried employee.

What are the snow day policies at your job? I'd rather take an unpaid day than have to save and use vacation days.
