unpopular opinion: 'lukola' Stans ruined the polin fandom

the polin fandom pre-s3 was so much fun, no drama, no division. now i feel like everyday there's something new. extreme lukola stans crucified luke for bringing his gf to the premiere, stalked them both, harassed and bullied their partners, etc. y'all are WEIRD. i saw someone on tumblr spreading rumours via tarot readings (put the tarot cards down, i beg) that nicola was pregnant with luke's child and had an abortion in brazil like wtf?

we can't even enjoy things anymore. new photo of luke looking gorgeous? 'but he took A :(' WHO TF CARES, we know she exists and we act like its new knowledge every time. i saw someone wishing death on her for 'attacking and playing with the fandom' like put the victim complexes down omg. she posted a photo of a restaurant she was at. it wasn't a calculated attack on a bunch of jobless strangers pls. 'i love nic but i can't agree with the age of her partner...' ok? did she ask though?

did either of them ask? talking about them not 'claiming their partners'. yeah, not to you. and why should they? y'all harassed luke's last gf and are already wishing death on his current one, why wouldn't he want to keep her private? it reeks of entitlement, like we don't stan these people for their personal lives. respectfully who cares who they're dating? what about their projects? their talent? can we, as a fandom, go back to talking about that please? when did we let lukola stans overrun this fandom? i'm sick of y'all using the one time they said they didn't mind shipping to justify creepy behaviour; they didn't mind fan videos and funny tweets, not rude, invasive, parasocial speculation.

pls stop with the 'they played with us' 'betrayal' 'pr' etc. etc. acting like they didn't say MULTIPLE times during that press tour that they're friends. FRIENDS. we don't even realise how lucky we are to have two actors so close and so giving and we're throwing hissy fits because they're not something more. we're SO LUCKY. just enjoy what you're given and stop being creeps. their personal lives are just that: personal. and none of our business.

I don't actually think the polin fandom is 'ruined' per say. there are many respectful, talented people with sense. but we need a fandom cleanse desperately.
