My partner broke up with me and feels unusually great, almost ecstatic, for over a week. I'm worried.

Last week my partner of 1.5 years broke up with me. We're still in touch because we're trying to protect the friendship, and there's no animosity in our conversations, so my ex opened up to me that she's been feeling unusually great, almost like in a state of "serotonin rush", for the entire past week. She also reported to have some "ADHD-like" experiences (I have ADHD so she sees herself doing certain things that remind her of that). Example being: Inability to focus on a single thing, but desire to do everything; impatience in dialogues cause she knows how the sentence will end; losing things; losing track of time; impulsivity.

All of this while being in a non-stop elated state. She also reports sleeping 2-4 hours a day (despite her normal 8) and feeling amazing, like it's Christmas morning every morning. She says it's okay, she hopes the state will last forever and doesn't want to go to a doctor.

While I'm happy for her that she's happy to be free, I'm also a little concerned cause a lot of these symptoms are a bit extreme, especially the lack of sleep and rush-like feeling, as well as the week-long duration of the state with no changes. I'm worried about her sleep deprivation and the possibility of crashing, if it does have anything to do with such a long spike of serotonin.

Is anyone familiar with a similar situation? Is that normal or common in someone who's happy to break up, or is that some unusual reaction to the stress of breakup?

Would be grateful for any advice and stories. Thank you.
