Blepharitis from demodex eye mites - cured!
I just wanted to share my story of how I cured my blepharitis which was caused by the demodex eye mite.
Please read before asking questions - I won't reply to questions you can find the answer to below.
One day, for no apparent reason, a stye appeared on my eyelid. It was massive. The stye healed, but my eyelid was red, puffy, and itchy. Then the second eyelid became puffy, red, and itchy. My GP said I had blepharitis and basically told me "live with it, there's no cure". Fantastic, thanks. I tried many treatments and nothing really worked, I was desparate (and itchy!). I consulted a private opthamologist (abroad) and got a test done for demodex eye mites. To my huge surprised the test was positive! I still don't know how I got it.
I then came across (upon the opthamologist's recommendation) Blephademodex wipes. They were God-sent. I cut the wipe into quarters, used one quarter per eyelid, morning and evening. I just wiped across the eyelid and slightly underneath to get the product into the eyelid. I also wiped my brows as demodex live in hair follicles. I did this for more than 6 months every single day, twice a day. After a loooooooooong time I decided to risk it, I stopped using the wipes and... 6 months later my blepharitis has not returned. I am so happy and relieved this nightmare is finally over. Blepharitis CAN be treated, but you need to be persistent and keep wiping!
This is not an ad, it's genuinely the only thing that helped me. I spent hours sifting through the internet to find answers, so I thought I would post my story to give you hope that it will get better.
P.S. yes the wipes are bloody expensive, and you'll need 1 wipe per day. I got mine from abroad, but basically just clench your teeth and think about how wonderful it will be to have normal eyelids again.
