Tiger temple cellar

How the f*ck do you kill the damn rats in there? Dont hop on here saying “get good” or none of that. Im literally getting interrupted mid attack every time by every single rat, even the one im attacking gets staggered on the 1st hit then powers through it. I get hit 1 time and the game doesnt allow me to dodge because im getting staggered on every hit. Cloud spell only good for one hit and these rats dont even get stunned from rock solid.
