Cheapest places for an extended stay near Colorado Springs!

Ok this may sound crazy actually lol but not really lol…

Work is slow here in the St. Louis area and I came across a post from my union (international) looking for workers in Colorado (Some military base near Colorado Springs to be exact) and this got me really considering pulling the trigger on the opportunity, taking advantage while I’m down there and catching the entire Denver run!! Work my hours AND catch Billy in my favorite state! You can’t beat it! So now I’m running numbers, wondering how to make this all work.

For you local folks out there, what is the cheapest hotel/area to stay in? I would have a roommate and he offered to drive and split cost of everything with me. Just trying to get an estimate of the trip and wonder if it’s even worth my time and money. It’s worth a thought!
