Follow up post, could he Build an Omnitrix?

Since the Tony Stark post blew up overnight (literally, went to sleep and woke up to see it had over a hundred answers) I decided to ask the same question but with Batman since he and Tony are compared a lot.

So... Can Batman use his vast knowledge on multiple scientific fields such as biology, chemistry, technology and others to build himself a functional Omnitrix? Or would he need help from other members of the Justice League to even understand the schematics for the prototype?

I believe that by himself Bruce would only be able to modify the watch, but even that would require his all to make sure nothing wrong happens like when Kevin tried to unlock Master Control for Ben in Alien Force.

I want to hear your thoughts, as a fan of both franchises I really want to know how you all think about this idea, since I kind of have a fanfic about him having the Omnitrix
