Just got a new baby bearded dragon. Any tips on how to properly care for him?
Just got a new baby bearded dragon, last one I suspected he died either cause of poor environment or from the fall he took, two stories high. We just moved to Florida and had to switch up the entire environment for our old bearded dragon. He didn't have a cage but had a bed with a heat lamp and a hiding spot that he could climb down from whenever he wanted to. A month after he died we got a new one and definitely don't wanna make the same mistakes as last time. Not sure if he definitely needs a cage but for sure at least a heat lamp. Was hoping the people of reddit could help give me some insight on how to properly take care of our new beardie (Dayo). And I know, why get a beardie if you don't even know how to care for him? Well we thought we knew how but apparently not so just looking for helpful tips/insight. Dayo has yet to accept hand fed food so for now we'll stick to live food. He's okay with us holding him and handling him, just not the whole hand feeding aspects.
